There's nothing wrong with her changing sound, but when she didn't write ratchet songs like Bitch Better Have My Money, the persona and voice that she puts on is hard to buy, especially because it is also a different genre from most of her well-known hits. The song feels insincere to me, and that's the point I was trying to make.
Britney didn't go from cute school girl to ratchet hoe. Her transition into adulthood was more natural, from singing teen pop for tweens to her sexier side displayed on In the Zone. Most people begin to have sex when they get older. Most people do not become ratchet hoes when they get older.
