Do you think that BEYONCE's surprise release is having negative results on other artists?

I feel like the industry is a complete and utter mess right now with every artist trying to be innovate with the way they release their stuff. LBR it only brought good results to her because the strategy was planned based on her situation at the time.

Should the industry just keep it traditional in the way they release albums?

Very much so.

The industry was pretty much looking for a way to cut corners - radio-friendly singles/great visuals aren't nearly as much of a priority now that anyone can drop long-players unannounced and their fans will click "purchase" just to not be left out of the loop.

I think no one is directly copying her, because they wanna avoid to be called copycats, but it's so tiring to see a lot of artists drop stuff out of nowhere just because it's innovate...

Out of all the things, that is the last one to affect the industry. 1989 still had huge opening numbers. The industry has been a mess for a while except for few artists who still manage to sell well. This is not because of Beyonce and her tactic.

What I always claim is that if she went with that album the traditional way it would've flopped. Which a lot of people will agree with me.

I have always praised the marketing release it had because it was genius, but it was designed just for her not other artists.

I think that a lot of artists should just keep it traditional

Pretty much everyone is trying to figure out a unique and interesting way to release their newest album....because of social media and the internet in general, the old way just isn't working anymore.....BEYONCÉ got the ball rolling and inspired other artists to step outside the box with their album releases......but not everyone is as genius as Bey and her team to pull it off

Sure, Bey is inspiring many artists to follow her, but obviously only she can pull it off that well. It's a mistake to compare anyone to Bey, because everyone will fall short.

I agree with that part.

Beyonce's campaign was designed for all of 2013, her name was everywhere before the album dropped. Just a few artists can pull it off. And her team was very smart for that.

Why do you act like the release of BEYONCE was sure to be a guaranteed success? It could have blown up in her face like she was expecting it to.

It worked for Drake and it worked for Kid Cudi so no, I don't agree. They're not being forced to follow her.
