Pokemon anime has higher ratings, more impact, more sales, more global recognition, and has been consistently making millions of dollars with movies every year since 1998.
Pokemon IS bigger and more popular. The games alone helped keep the franchise afloat. I prefer DBZ far more but you can't knock Pokemon's popularity.
I do miss my childhood though! Watching both pokemon and DBZ the best days. oh and playing Pokemon Yellow version >>> my brother had Red and my sister had Blue.
We'd all play together and battle/trade each other on gameboy advanced with the USB cable links
Frieza alone is more iconic than any Pokemon villain will ever be.
