I think that the cover is okay. For all intents and purposes they may have chosen the cover for two reasons:

1) Familiarity with the music video. If someone has seen the music video, then they might recognize the figure on the cover. Therefore, they would remember the music video for BBP and the song itself. So, it was a somewhat smart decision that they chose that cover.

2) Not to mention the fact that if you were to walk into a store and go to the music section and you looked around, would you not stop and look at this cover. It's interesting, unique, and different; it would be something that people would at least pick up and look at. And it's been proven that if you pick up something in the store rather than just look at it, then you will more than likely buy it. So, again the cover could prove to be a great asset for the Black Eyed Peas.

Hmm. I don't think a green chucky face would be more recognizable than BEP themselves on the cover.

I was talking about the people recognizing the figure from the music video. If they've seen it, then they might recognize it. Therefore, they would remember it being a BEP music video and would notice that they are holding a BEP album.
