But that's not the issue I'm raising here. I know exactly what she meant and I would even agree with her point but her use of the word is still NOT okay and should NOT be defended. She could have just used "black" instead. What you don't seem to get is that the N-word has an intrinsic negative connotation and can not be used in a positive light. No matter how one uses it the connotation will always be negative, it's not an adjective that adapts regarding of the context.
