After a years-long drought as far as Rihanna musical content goes, we are now in a verifiable flood—and it is wonderful. On the heels of campfire-sing-along first single “FourFive Seconds” and scorcher “Bitch Better Have My Money” comes “American Oxygen,” an anthemic down-tempo ballad-y number which Rihanna performed for the first time Saturday night at the March Madness Music Festival.
There is at least one American-history teacher out there, somewhere, who just wondered to himself whether he can get away with just playing this on loop for his class tomorrow for the entire period.
