Lets not label something American patriotism when it isn't. The negative response to this is moreso nationalism which has a blind eye on real issues going on in America.
It displays our country perfectly. A place full of dreaming and opportunity, but also a place full of inequality and injustice.
Let's not act like America is the only bad seed here. America, its flaws is only singled out so much because its the most powerful country in the world.
