I'm sure there's already tons of threads in regards to body piercings, however, I wanted to create a thread specifically for a nose piercing. Hopefully this thread can be used as a haven for questions, advice, and stories in regards to our experiences with nose piercings. Whether you have one, used to have one, or want one in the future.
Anyway, I have another purpose in creating this thread. Recently (back in February) I got my nose pierced, with a stud, for my 18th birthday. Today (April 6th) more than a month and a half after, I went back to the piercer to get my stud changed to a hoop [My piercer said it was perfectly okay after a month to switch it]. So, my stud was pierced kind of high up on my nostril, not too high, but higher than most piercings....however, it still looked fine. Anyway, I wanted a hoop that fit tight to my nostril and that was thin. I'm not a fan of big hoops that stick out, however, since my hole was so high up, they had to make it a bit bigger and he gave me a large hoop that stuck out. I hated it immediately. I asked them to change it and they did, and they gave me a hoop that is now tight to my nose. It's exactly how I wanted it to look! However, the piercer seemed a little iffy considering it's not the appropriate size for my nostril and that it could either pop out or make my nose swollen. However, she did say to just clean it and it should be okay, maybe just a bit uncomfortable. Anyway, it's still bleeding (which is normal...i think) and it's a bit red, and a bit tight on my nose....but I love it nonetheless. So ultimately, I'm trying to ask....do y'all think that's okay? Is my nose going to be okay because my hoop isn't the "appropriate" size. Please be honest! I get anxious/nervous easily so I really hope your responses aren't like "OMG OMG."
^I'm so sorry this was so long! Hopefully, y'all will read it.
