I think she was the first one to do one of those "thug love" duets where the popstar would have a sweet melody and the rapper would go hard. Madonna was gonna release one in 1994 with Tupac but things didn't pan out which makes Mariah the first one to do that.
She has countless classics but OSD is not in her top 10 for the younger generation. If they had played Emotions, Hero, Without You, AIWFCIY, Fantasy, Always Be My Baby, WBT, Touch My Body or Obsessed a lot of them would have recognized it
