Yes of course. All of my guy friends are straight. Gays are messy. Like honestly I feel like being friends with them would lead to drama.

I'm not uncomfortable but I also don't connect with them most of the time. I have a few straight friends and acquaintances, but I don't hang out with them all the time cause their discussion topics are boring to me and some of the terminology and jokes they use make me cringe.

This. It just feels like I never have that much in common with straight guys. Something like 90% of my friends are girls.

Some small part of me (presumably from when I was a closeted little kid) also still wants to hide parts of who I am from them for fear of being ridiculed and/or outed, as guys always used to give me a harder time about that than girls did.

I'm out now, of course, but it's just always something that's stuck with me, even from beyond the closet. I just never feel quite as free to be myself around hetero dudes.

I don't really have a problem with most of them. Straight men have been nicer to me than gay men for the most part, and in some cases, they're nicer than women.
