And since when have we acknowledged that anyone under 18 can give consent? Because from my definition, all of that is considered sexual assault, so I don't know what y'all in here trying to do. Pedophiles would keep themselves out of jail if they stopped trying to assault minors, the law does not prosecute people with an urge to rape - only people who choose to do so. This is an 11 year old boy, who was being sexually assaulted. Y'all up in here trying to defend his rapist with some pseudo-human-rights bullcrap. It's one thing to be a pedophile, that you cannot help, but molesting a child is a choice and for that choice he deserves to be locked up and he deserved to have his face beaten in. Being a pedophile means that you can't help that you're attracted to children, it doesn't mean that it wasn't your fault when you actually hurt a child.
I'm also skeptical that therapy actually helps child molestors and I don't give a **** if they've been deemed cured by the best doctors in the world, I still wouldn't want that ****er around my child or anyone else's and I'm sure most of you would feel the same way.
Mentally ill people still deserve punishment like everyone else. But also should receive help. Read please. No one is saying "mentally ill so should get a get out of jail free card"
