Fist of all, make sure that you're ready for that kind of devotion and the emotional mess that you might be when it ends.

Secondly, don't settle for less. Know what you want from the get go and stand your ground.

Thirdly, put yourself out there and don't be afraid to make the first move. You will face rejection; we all do.

I dont, I live in the middle of nowhere where there is no one new to meet. I already know all the gays, ive gone to school with them all my life and im not here for them.

The "waiting for somebody to come to you" logic doesn't make sense. If you aren't looking for somebody and you end up getting a boyfriend out of it than that is coincidental.

That's why it's easier to just 'let it happen' and then it feels like it just happens quickly.

You need to get over the fear of rejection and be bold. If you like someone, tell them. If you want to go on a date with someone, ask them yourself. It's scary at first and if/when you do get rejected it sucks, but you'll get over it. You're not going to die because someone rejected you. You'll feel embarrassed and sad for a little bit and then you'll forget about it and move on.
