Hello, I was wondering how does one get a boyfriend? Like a long term one. I'm 25, and no one seems to take me seriously. the guys who show interest in me are just not my type, although there's this hot guy in professional school who always stares at me, and I stare back and smile sometimes.

I'm just so clueless, but at the same time I feel so ready. I've had awful experiences with boys before, but I do think it's he right time to open up again!

Just don't actively seek for them and they will come themselves. I remember at some point I was desperate to get one, but nothing ever worked. Then I stopped caring and boyfriends just popped up everywhere almost to the point where I was in two relationships at once. It's like the less you want someone, the more they want you. It's crazy.

if you want a log term BF and not a fling i suggest you become friends with anyone you are interested in first. That way you get to know their personality before investing too much time on them. .Remember just cause someone looks good it doesnt mean that they have a good personality (I learned that the hard way many times ) ive never just gone on a date with someone and then became their BF. usually we hang out in a non romantic way and then then it could lead to something more.

I'm single right now and I'm happy with that. I'm not actively looking for love because I don't want it. I've been a desperate teen, had boyfriends, broke up and nothing in my life has improved or worsened. I feel better this way because I'm in control of who I date and who I don't date. I'm not seeking love therefore I'm not worrying, analysing 'potential partners' and so on..

I'm making more friends, enjoying myself and living life. The right person, whomever that may be, will meet me one day.

Maybe I've already met them, we'll become attracted to each other through our friendship and it'll progress.
