anyway as a fashion icon I can say that she's very influential...and as a popstar we can give her a bit of credit too.. but just a bit cause Madonna is the original IDGAF Bad Girl so. musically she was supposed to do sth innovative with her country music (reggae etc..) but she rather played with European DJ dicks to snatch Mariah Carey #1s records which I wish her to get cause that's probably the highest achievement she'll ever have.

Her impact is evident by the number of artists that have attempted to emulate her. Artists from a variety of genres praise everything from her voice, her performance, her dancing, her kindness, and her hardwork. Also the amount of covers of umbrella. The amount of recreations of we found love. Stay being talent show staples. The bad RnB/pop music image, hair and fashion being badly replicated by a legion of artists.

Her R&B with a number of infused elements is the standard for R&B now-a-days. She brought real contemporary R&B to the forefront of music and made both R&B and Pop acts want to make contemporary R&B, something Janet & Mary weren't able to fully do.

I would take the decision of the AMAs giving her an icon award for her contribution towards music, TIME acknowledging her impact, the CDFA fashion icon award for her contributions towards fashion, the entrepreneurial award she is about to receive for her inspiration to young people across the Americas in the presence of heads of states including Obama, over some pressed person on the internet with a biased opinion, thank you.
