Of course she needs a universal hit, but the question is "how does she obtain a universal hit". I think a song co-written by RedOne and Gaga and produced by Moroder might give us something pretty spectacular, but at the same time a lot has to happen in order for anything from Gaga to be a "universal hit".

She's not releasing until next year. AHS isn't getting in the way of anything. It's coming first in the Gaga timeline but it's not interfering with her releasing music since the plan wasn't to release in 2015 anyways.

Wait, why do people think Taylor's releasing next year? She'll be tour this year and then she normally takes a break so she can write. Katy might not even release next year either. She's touring until the end of the year and I don't think she's been recording on the road which means she'll be making her album next year.

Even if they do release, though, I don't think it'll affect Gaga if Gaga gets her **** together and does what she needs to do.
