So what's your point? You say then she wouldn't break out? Just one year before she had worked with Francis Ford Coppola, she had already signed the deal to shoot Anaconda (which was WAY more successful than Selena). What took Jennifer so far was her ambition not a single role.

Selena was her breakout role though but if it want that it would of been another film and people would of noticed her in anaconda it was a worldwide hit not local like the selena movie was, So she was already moving onto bigger films selena just helped her get her name out there even more.
