Though the Drew Stevens remix is better than the original, "Brooklyn Nights" decimates "Mary Jane Holland" and half of ARTPOP. It's a damn travesty that the likes of "Donatella" and "Jewels n' Drugs" were put in before it, and MJH should have gotten the boot if there was only room for one more song.
I like your taste.
BN was the title that I was
Most looking forward to and it makes me sad to know that it was scrapped.
Just remember that at the end of the day Mary Jesus Joseph made it on the album and Brooklyn Nights remains an unreleased demo that only saw the light of day because someone traded their nudes for it
Brooklyn Night was not released for a reason. Not because MJH is better, but because it will be released on her B-side album coming after #LG5 along with Pop Masterpieces like Out of Control, No Way, Second Time Around, and Princess Die! And The Greatest Thing, Reloaded, Partynauseous as filler tracks

I've said before that Gaga's first greatest hits album/B-sides album should be titled The Greatest Thing. Brooklyn Nights would also make a really cool B-sides album name.
She needs to have one at some point, though. She could at least make an EP with the gems like you mentioned.
Also, I want a FULL piano version of "Bad Romance". We got an intro of it on Ellen, and that's it.
The Greatest Thing is not that bad but how come Gaga didn't get a solo chorus? I mean she only appears to sing her verse and that's it, she gets minimized to backing vocals. No wonder why she cancelled it, an Iggy iggs tea

A verse + duet in a chorus is pretty normal for a featured artist, though.
Besides, the reason Gaga gave for not wanting to do the song was she didn't like the way they altered her voice in the final production (which we don't have).
The way Gaga made "Telephone" ten times better and a hundred times more meaningful when she changed the lyrics and dedicated it to Alexander McQueen. The performance is so good, but makes me feel so sad.
Why does Gaga's best material come from death ("Speechless", "The Edge of Glory"), traumatic events ("Monster"), thoughts of suicide ("So Happy I Could Die", "Princess Die") and failed past relationships (so many Lüc-inspired songs )? I want the best Gaga has to offer, but I want her to be happy, too. It's not fair.
TGT is pretty bad, but maybe the final version is much better.
BN not being on the album was a major when you think about what songs actually made the album. I guess we'll know what other good songs were rejected when Gaga releases ARTPOP Act II on the ARTPOP App
Like, she doesn't need to go all "gay rightsy" on us again but just do stuff that gays love (not this rockabilly / jazz thing she's been serving).
It's so easy to get the gays to love you obsessively again. One bop like "Commander" by Kelly Rowland and they'll say you're the new Queen of Pop. Just feels like they're still hung up on that corny catfight nonsense with another diva from 4 years ago. She needs to give her core base of positive press + casual fans a reason to like her again without seeming too preachy.
