I came out to my mom when I was 16, and she kept it a secret until I decided to come out to my dad, the day after that I get a call from my aunt saying she knew I was gay and that she supported me.
the thing is that my mom told the rest of my family (including grandma, aunts & uncles, cousins, etc.) that I was gay, I don't know why, but she told everyone.
and then the next my dad's family came to visit us, and my dad got drunk and told them I was gay too (out of nowhere).
the whole situation was really, like REALLY awkward and I felt betrayed because I trusted them and they didn't give me the chance to do it myself, we're cool now though.
My mom outed me to everyone in my extended family and thought I was an asshole because I was upset about it. She said that since they wouldn't care anyways, it didn't matter that she told them. That she just made things easier for me.

Yeah. Towards the end of my junior year of high school I stopped being friends with this girl who was a total **** to my friends. So she got mad and during my senior year of high school she would throw shots at me and make fun of gay people whenever I was around. It wasn't until Prom night that she went up to a group of my friends who didn't know I was gay and told them I was a ******. She was the only person who knew besides my best friend. I confided in her because she was an openly lesbian at school so i thought she would never do something like that but turns out she did. My friends were furious at her but were accepting to me. They cut off ties with her and stopped talking to her. Luckily after high school I don't have to see her or deal with her. I'm out to my parents and everyone who matters to me knows. Funny thing, after I came out I ran into her with my mom at the supermarket. I had told my mom that in high school this girl would make fun of me so when I saw her I told my mom that was her. She was so ready to go off on her but I pulled her away lol my brother flipped her off when he ran into her as well.
I told my then best friend and he went on and on about how he doesn't mind and wouldn't tell a soul but not even a month later I find out he's told someone else in our group. His excuse? "He's my best friend I had to tell him!". Over the months I kept finding out about more and more people he's told. Basically everyone in our friend circle knows now.

I told my then best friend and she told her boyfriend and because he was jealous (her words, true story) he posted a status on FB with my name saying "______ is a bisexual. He is a ******." After that me and her stopped talking and it took her about a year or so to apologize cause she said she didn't want to graduate and leave with loose ends or some ****. Whatever.
