In-flight footage found from Germanwings last moments.
"Mobile phone footage taken from inside the Germanwings flight during its final moments has reportedly been recovered from the crash site in the French Alps.
European newspapers Paris Match and Bild have reported that the video, which Sky News has not seen, was discovered on a mobile phone found among the wreckage of flight 4U 9525.
Paris Match, which has not published the video, reported: "The scene was so chaotic that it was hard to identify people, but the sounds of the screaming passengers made it perfectly clear that they were aware of what was about to happen to them.
"One can hear cries of 'My God' in several languages."
The newspaper added that metallic banging can be heard in the footage, before the screaming gets louder and the video ends."
This is so tragic I hope for the peace-of-mind of the victim's families that it never gets released. Reports say a cell phone video shows the nightmarish final seconds of Germanwings Flight 9525, but a police spokesman said the accounts were "completely wrong."
Lt. Col. Jean-Marc Menichini, a French Gendarmerie spokesman in charge of communications on rescue efforts around the Germanwings crash site, told CNN that the reports were "completely wrong" and "unwarranted." Cell phones have been collected at the site, he said, but that they "hadn't been exploited yet."

The person was recording it, knowing they were going to die, so clearly they wanted it to be seen.

I hope that out of pure human decency that the news agencies that have it will NEVER release it and just delete the footage to prevent further leaks, because I can't imagine anything more horrifying.
The ONLY reason i could even justify watching it would be to see what an *actual* plane crash would look inside, but I really wouldn't be able to bring myself to watch it, no.

All those people are dead, from a psycho that decided to kill 149 with him, and i can already see all kinds of sites and sovial network accounts wanting to get clicks from this.
We kind of had an idea that passengers knew what was about to happen. The video is blurry probably only confirms the sounds and voices we could barely hear from the black box recorder.

I don't think it makes you a bad person. I actually had a similar thought process when I read the article. I'm with you, I actually hope it doesn't get leaked (even though it definitely will if it turns out to be real) out of respect for the victims. I even told myself I wouldn't watch it if there was a video in the op. But tbqh, I don't know if I could stop myself just out of sheer curiosity. I think that's a natural reaction.
Either way, I'm glad the video isn't up (yet) and hopefully it stays that way. Actually seeing and hearing those peoples' last screams and cries and the sound of the plane imploding on itself would just make this tragic situation all the more tragic and heartbreaking.
