Sophie Tyler quoted Gaga's hit 'Do what you want' in the note to the unnamed convict at HMP Bristol
A prison nurse who wrote a love letter quoting Lady Gaga song lyrics in a love letter to a prisoner has been suspended for 10 months.
Sophie Tyler quoted Gaga's hit 'Do what you want' in the note to the unnamed convict at HMP Bristol, the the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) heard.
She also made a suggestive comment about a sausage sandwich and told the inmate that she wanted to inspect his body in 'great detail'.
Tyler fell for the inmate while treating him in the substance misuse wing at the prison, the NMC heard.
She handed the prisoner her mobile phone number after he was transferred to HMP Guys Marsh Tyler on 7 November, 2013, and he called her three times.

Tyler then sent him love letters back, one of which read: "It’s Sunday morning and I’ve just eaten a sausage sandwich (no lube involved).
[With reference to a tattoo] "I’ll have to inspect your body in great detail to find the best place to put it.
"Lady Gaga is singing ‘Do what you want with my body’ at the moment. You should be very afraid...
"…we might need a rest that weekend…"
After a colleague expressed concerns an investigation was launched.
In a letter addressed to the NMC, Tyler said: "Although I developed feelings from [Individual A] I never acted upon them whilst he was in my care.

"Her colleagues were in a similar position of risk. The potential existed for disclosures to me made about colleagues that were neither desirable nor appropriate and as such could have exposed them to risk."
It said that security at the prison "was also exposed to risk for the reasons advanced above.
"As such, the public was exposed to risk. Individual A may have been tempted to exploit an opportunity to gain knowledge or items that he was expected or permitted to have in a prison environment."
