Well I mean, I'm just going to state the obvious: we have a doppleganger in our midst. As an artist who respects creative integrity and intellectual property, I am disgusted by how much Tidal copied Spotify, from the services to the UI, do they not have any value or respect for originality? They're a laughing stock. It's cheesy, it's disgusting, I personally found it absolutely artistically atrocious. I am embarrassed to be sitting here in your presence having to even dignify them with an answer of my opinion... They make me sick.
Because Jay Z. Had this been done by anyone else, everyone would just ignore it in general. I'm #TeamSpotify and yet you don't see me lashing out like a fool. I stated my opinion on it and left it at that. I don't see the point of this hate campaign when there are LITERALLY so many other streaming services to use
Because the whole layout of this campaign has been a joke. It truly shows how out of touch these artists are. Instead of writing better music or bringing awareness to more immediate and important causes, they're out shilling this **** without realize it's dead on arrival.
They're attacking music streaming for lack of profit when the real problem is the record labels they're signed to.
Bob Lefsetz put it best (and yes the entire thing is WORTH the read).
Is it just me or are people online in particular on atrl rooting for TIDALs demise and acting like they're being forced to use it?
Why does the good sis have people so pressedT? Why is it so polarising?
Is it because of the artists attached to it? The prices? The fact its run by mostly black stakeholders? What is it?
Before reading the op I knew that would be mentioned as a possible reason. I wonder how much time until everyone starts making this about racism, it has NOTHING to do with that.
Its not #TIDALFORALL, more like #MONEYFORJAYZ...
I guess its easy for him to remove his music from worldwide streaming sites and put it in a local one since no one oustide North America uses him anyway...but wait..even his fans in America are people who can eat like 3 days with those $20 from the monthly subscription.
