I would respect it so much if it was just like "here, we're releasing this new streaming service". But all that Kanye-esque artistic ********, that comical Justice League fake meeting, etc... it just got so stupid, and I bet it alienated most of the potential audience.
JuSHIT can't do it like Naomi. She probably made King Roger Ebert ***. He gave us so much pleasure through his wonderful reviews -- glad she gave him some pleasure too.
I feel like I remember him admitting arousal when they discussed it on Ebert & Roeper.

That promo video made it seem like it was going to be something SOOOOO DEEEEP. I was expecting an actual slideshow or something. Not Alicia Keys talking for five minutes and about ten artists signing off on some sort of agreement and that was it. There was nothing important mentioned in that press conference. The artists were being used to sell the product. I don't love them that much. Sorry.
BBHMM is such a grower. I loved her outfit last night, serving Riddler teas. Gosh, imagine if she did a Riddler-inspired music video where she was the female Riddler and had Zack Snyder direct, it would be soooo epic. Beyoncé stans don't quote me.
People didn't care about songwriters, producers or anyone else behind the scenes when they were buying records. They bought them because that's how you buy music and support what they like. So, why would people care now? I didn't hear anything special brought up in that useless promotional meeting. It was basically "we all live through music. This is the first artist-owned streaming site. Join the journey." How is any of that important to the buying public? Makes me want to download free music even more.
That's exactly my issue with this whole thing! They don't offer enough incentive for the consumer. They made the whole roll out about the artist and what they deserve instead of focusing on the consumer and how TIDAL will enhance their streaming experience. The average consumer doesn't care enough about the itegrity or monitary value of music enough to give their hard earned monety to a bunch of rich folks.
