WEST CHESTER, Pa. (AP) — A small plane crash near a southeastern Pennsylvania airport Sunday took the lives of the only two people aboard the aircraft, authorities said.
Emergency officials said the crash was reported just after 1:30 p.m. near Brandywine Airport, located about 20 miles west of Philadelphia.
The number of small plane crashes per decade since the 1950's through the 2000's resulting in a fatality are pretty much the same the average comes to about 53 crashes per decade. The vast majority are pilot error and pilot error due to weather.
So really not much has changed except now we have 24/7 media reporting everything that happens.
