In 2010, Christina released the most experimental album of her career, Bionic, which failed to meet the expectations sales and chart-wise.
Although it garnered a lot of attention, not all of it was for the right reasons. The Lady GaGa comparisons, the radio boycott and a failed lead single which proved to be a bad choice by RCA and not Christina and the consequent failure with the Bionic Tour, made Christina "forget" the album and ignore its existence.
But with the release of this amazing and underrated album, one of her most honest interviews ever got out.
She sat down with Jancee Dunn from Fuse for 20 minutes of a perfect and sincere interview in which she covers Bionic, her (at the time) recent motherhood, her career path and more personal points.
I, as a Fighter, find this enlightening for most of the people that call Christina a b*tch. She proves with this that in 2010, she was not being arrogant or rude towards others. She just doesn't have the patience for people pitting pop stars against each other.
It could have been such a great era... It was a real reinvention after the B2B era, she had new looks, was flawless, and the music was GREAT. Too bad she released that mediocre You Lost Me vid and then stopped the promo/era... She could have faced all the **** and carried the era on by releasing vids, doing photoshoots, festivals.... Like Madonna did during her less successful eras (Erotica for ex) It could have gathered her some new fans, THEN with the following album, she would slay and not fall into irrelevancy...
Would have, could have blah blah oh well.....
