SHINee's first part of their discography, from debut to Lucifer, is like 90% R&B. Some highlight songs after that would be Symptoms, One Minute Back, Excuse Me Miss, & Orgel.
I'm pretty sure when SM debuted SHINee, they were labelled as a "contemporary R&B group".
