No. The LGB rights movement wouldn't be where it is today without transgendered people fighting alongside us. Yes, it is a bit different from the other three letters that precede it in that it has to do with gender identity rather than sexual orientation, but it's the same battle all the same.

Isn't that what "queer" is supposed to mean?
I realize it sort of has a bit of a negative connotation outside of SJ communities because it has been used historically as something of a slur before being reclaimed, but I'm pretty certain it could fit what you're describing.

Are there any actual statistics on this? I've often wondered whether most transgendered people were gay or straight but I've never been able to come up with any real info.
