There are already weekly Germany-China freight trains:

• Zhengzhou (eastern China) - Hamburg (15 days)
• Chongqing - Duisburg (16 days, 3 trains per week)
• Shenyang - Leipzig

It takes 3 weeks for China - Spain:

• Yiwu - Madrid

All these trains are run by the Germans. It's interesting for just-in-time delivery for automotive, electronics,... industries:

This is Atrl. But really, this can be a major boost. Because goods can travel from the US into Europe, and maybe by extension China. But they want to build a highway for cars I presume. A railway would be much smarter.
