No they aren't. Because all the spiders, even the deadly venomous ones (poisonous is when you eat it and get sick, venomous is when it bites you and you get sick) help kill off all those nasty pests like mosquitos.

I'd much rather be surrounded by spiders than have 1 mosquito around me.
