Acheropites are mostly a Catholic thing. Alaska's Catholic population is very small and acheropites are generally ignored by every other Christian denomination.
In South America, they're huge tourist attractions. These's a reason Our Lady of Guadalupe inspired so many people to "miraculously" see thr Virgin Mary.
