I looked up an article the other day because I was curious about why Elton John and Madonna had such a bad relationship. It was a nice article that cleared things up for me - but the top comment being from an old resident poster here made me lose it.

Madonna's vocal strengths lie within her adaptability, not in power or range. She's able to mold her voice to the tone and emotion of the song she's singing. Compare "Oh Father" to "Frozen" to "Intervention" to "Into The Groove" and everything in between (although granted her age has contributed to her voice over the years).
I have a theory that if Madonna was a very talented vocalist then she wouldn't be where she is today because she wouldn't have put so much effort into every other field. If she could sing like Mariah do you think she'd have such brilliant and creative music videos, live performances etc? (No shade to Mariah, of course.)

those two idiots are designers who are apparently good at what they do since people buy their stuff for ridiculous prices and that's all that matters, nobody cares about what they think since they have zero impact so yeah the boycott is silly

Right but a few celebrities not buy $5000 dresses isn't really going to change their opinion of gay marriage. Both of them are worth over $2 billion each. In this case I think protesting is pointless imo.
