Animal Crossing: Population Growing
Animal Crossing (sometimes subtitled Population Growing) is a localized and enhanced remake of Dōbutsu no Mori + for the Nintendo GameCube, and the first title in the Animal Crossing series to be released outside Japan. Due to its popularity, Animal Crossing became a Player's Choice title about a year after its North American release.
Animal Crossing: Wild World
Animal Crossing: Wild World (Japanese: おいでよ どうぶつの森 Oideyo Dōbutsu no Mori) is a life simulation game for the Nintendo DS, set in a town where the player is a person who lives among animals. It is a follow-up to the 2002 hit Animal Crossing for the Nintendo GameCube and the Japan-only Dōbutsu no Mori, Dōbutsu no Mori +, and Dōbutsu no Mori e+. During development, the working title was Animal Crossing DS.
Animal Crossing: City Folk
Animal Crossing: City Folk (街へ行こうよ どうぶつの森, Machi e ikō yo: Dōbutsu no mori), known as Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City in PAL regions, is Nintendo's Wii installment in the Animal Crossing series. The title boasts a variety of changes and additions to the Animal Crossing formula, including the ability to travel to the City.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
While retaining much of the gameplay from older titles, Animal Crossing: New Leaf marks a large change in the series, as the player now takes on the role of the mayor. With the help of the townsfolk and "one eager secretary" it is now the player's job to make the town a better place to live. New Leaf also has a change of art style, with the players and the villagers having more human-like shapes, rather than the shorter ones seen in previous games, as well as the trees, flowers, and houses taking on a more realistic appearance.
