I like that there's no feature on this. Any rapper could easily tear this beat up but she kept it to herself. I'm sure someone is gonna hop on this soon though, idk who.
One can imagine Rihanna listening to Beyonce's "Flawless" on repeat and finding inspiration for this single in Queen Bey's exuberant cockiness; as much as Rih wants her money, she wants everyone else to bow down, too.
Oh yeah you're right Drake would be great too. Yeah they both need to hop on a remix that would REALLY make this the urban song of the year honestly. Hope they do that
It feels like a rap song and I love it. It's probably her riskiest, most hard hitting single ever. The "where y'all at" part GETS me And the pre-chorus with those drums
I also like the rasp of her voice, although sometimes I feel like she's yelling at me, but it'll grow on me
Alright on my first listen, her vocals are thing I like least about the track.
THEN on the second listen, I find the vocals & the chorus really stand out but I can see me forgetting about the song because to me there wasn't a hook to keep me interested in the song too much (although the song title might keep me coming back). the production just feels "meh".
Sorry. I had to fix that. This is the hottest song she's released as an official single in god knows when. I was getting sick of those stale pop songs. Diamonds and Stay? I mean honestly they were good at the time but we can do better.
