It's a wonderfully fascinating series. I loved reading each of the different books - very thought provoking. Light is kinda a sadistic asshole but I found him to be interesting and a compelling lead.
I watched Death Note in its entirety in like the span of 2 weeks It's really good but the plotlines get a bit conflated and ridiculous at times. It still works out and doesn't really get any points off from me. (I hate the idea of watching anime/animated series, too so I'm not biased. anime is normally a pukefest)

It's better read! Actually, the little spin-off novel about Naomi's case prior to the storyline of Death Note was really good from what I recall. She was a great (albeit shortened) character.
So lemme make sure I understand this. Rihanna has ditched her dancepop for "quality songs that I can sing in 15 years"... and THIS is what she's means? This ratchet ****? Good ****ing BYE! The label always wins! They looking hits not quality!

Some of the more obscure, dark anime films from the 90s and early 00s are kinda cool, though. Ghost in the Shell is one I'd recommend to people who normally hate that genre like I do. Although, I'm not sure if that counts since it's more just an animated film like Batman: MOTP (amazing btw!).
"AKIRA" is kind of overrated trash. It's just praised because it was the first of its kind. That being said,
"Lucy" with Oscarless and never-nominated Scarlett Johansson was clearly an "AKIRA" rip off.
