While I agree that she should've released an album like ARTPOP after The Fame Monster to further her career, I personally am happy she made Born This Way and released it when she did. It was an album I needed to hear at the right time in my life. One of the main reasons why I'll stay a fan of hers and love her forever no matter what kind of music she releases in the future.

Plus it was a ridiculously great record with some of her best songs.

Say what you will about alienating the GP, but BTW is a reason that a lot of fans, myself included, are so diehard. Like, I will never leave her unless the truth about Lina comes out.

It was way too early, though and I blame the album for the decay,but really I do not care. If the fans love the album, I'm fine with it. If people can relate to it, great. That's what it's all about.

I can honestly say that I liked 4 on BTW- TEOG, GH, HML, BM. The rest was jus way too out there for me. But I still love her (and you).

WaiT this is a fantastic idea. But she also better include a second CD of unheard songs or outtakes because we are THIRSTY.

!!! I play ARTPOP more now and I feel like it has waaaay more replayability but nothing will top BTW for me. It will always have a special place in my heart and I'll always love it.

I agree it's my favorite album and era from her. Albeit a crazy ass ride and not an easy one to appreciate and stan for her either, but hell I got through it. I just loved that she was SO on top of the world even though she was way over her head as far as sanity goes.

I love seeing the praise for Born This Way. It really is her best album and like many have said, it kinda has kept me around even if sometimes I don't like her directions.
The Edge Of Glory, Bad Kids, Heavy Metal Lover, Highway Unicorn and Bloody Mary are the best of her career.

See, BTW was an important transitional period.

My diehard love-her-forever era was actually TFM and the pre-BTW era, but BTW's message and attitude was a physical synthesis of that time period. It made me fight for her, made me appreciate her work more, and it delivered in musical quality. I'd have been hard pressed to stick around had we skipped it and jumped straight from TFM to the disjointedness of ARTPOP. I'd probably be less enthusiastic about her even if the subsequent era had been bigger, if the message and feeling weren't there.

Oh my god. Has it seriously been 5 years since the 2010 TIME poll? I went sooooo hard for her on that. Has it really been five ****ing years?

The Edge Of Glory should've hit #1

Blame "Judas" and the way it was handled. "The Edge of Glory" or "Hair" should have been the second single.

The Monsters do way too much on the MV. I think it's cute, and I sincerely doubt the GP bothers to look into the symbolism of any of her videos (besides the obvious ones like "Judas").

I really like Hair as a ballad.
