All the star power is gone. He was the group. The other people were there just for effect.

Their credits right now probably consist mostly of very minimal co-writing at best (maybe slight contributions to melody/lyrics here and there, with producers/writers overseeing it). I doubt we'll see much from Zayn for a while anyway (aside from maybe the Naughty Boy record), while he's taking a break and letting the dust settle. And of course now that Zayn is gone, Harry will probably finish out his contract before doing anything solo.
Fair enough about the DJ thing. Then I'll say Adam from Owl City is probably a better example. He has terrible stage presence (just watch one of his Good Time performances), not even half the voice Zayn has, and is extremely awkward in interviews, as a self-proclaimed introvert. He still has a gigantic fanbase. You're right, it'll be harder for him to gain traction if he doesn't come out of his shell a bit. But honestly, as long as he has great material, I don't think that stuff matters as much these days. He's got the voice, he's got a built-in fanbase ready to drop their coins, he can work on the other stuff in time. Harry may have it a bit easier since ha already has experience from pretty much being the lead in 1D.

Yep I agree. Zayn is going to lie low for awhile aside from a feature or two on Naughty Boy's album. I wonder how hard NB is creaming his pants now that all this has been released to the media?
And IA. He obviously has the connections to make a great R&B record, it's just the question as to whether or not he will deliver. A big, established fanbase does not always guarantee success though, so Zayn will have to put a lot of effort into it.

That little bitch was NOT good enough to be on X Factor by himself so they had to put him into a singing group.
So his little BITCH ass went through the competition trying to make a career of music, and after all the success, he quits the band?
What an ungrateful little hoe.
Not only is he ungrateful but is ALSO unfaithful and Ive seen countless threads about his negative marijuana smoking behavior influencing the rest of the group.
I hope he carves RIP to his career with those ugly ass pale skinny chicken legs he has because I hope to never see him again for the rest of my life.
I mean, that little bitch could not even finish a ****ing tour that has an insane tour gross and thousands of fans were looking forward to looking at his ugly, un-choreographed, malnourished self.
Good riddance if you ask me.

Mess. The band has been touring, promoting, recording new music non stop since 2011.
Seriously, we all knew this was going to happen even though I agree this is disrespectful to the fans who paid to see them on tour. I'm sure they're all tired as hell and want to leave as well.
I knew this tour was a bad idea, it's too much, it started only 6 months after the WWAT ended.

That's very rude of him, even disrespectful to his peers and fans.
He knew what he would face when he choose to be a singer, now he's showing how weak he is.
I'm not saying all of the singers don't deserve privacy, I'm just saying that he always knew it was going to be this way.
I love him and I'm sad he's not with the band anymore.

And ruined 4 years of his own life in the process.
Think about it, who's more selfish, him or you wanting him to stay when he doesn't want to? The day One Direction was formed was the day he could no longer make any decisions for himself (legally) and he had to consider four other people. It's not hard to comprehend that he had just had enough. It's not worth risking your future marriage over, that's for sure.
He has the charisma of a plank of wood. He doesn't care very much, just sings a few high notes, gets his paycheck and enjoys what he actually enjoys doing in his spare time. He attempts to work on music that's more to his liking and people go mad at him for it. I'm surprised he lasted this long. Not to mention he would have been sued for millions if he had left earlier.

Is he like the Robbie Williams of the group? I don't follow them or their music but the meltdowns from fans are sad.

I'm a bit shocked things came to this extreme. I hope this is the best for him and I'll stan for him if he decides to go solo.

Me being being "selfish" doesn't have any consequence on anyone. Him being selfish for leaving the band has troubled their management, their tour team, the rest of the band, their fans, and a lot of other people. It's just not fair for his team and their fans to do this when he was part of such a thing, especially in the middle of the tour. He's ungrateful and a ****.
On the other hand I think it might be a PR move. After 4 flopped they could use some headlines.
They should put out a GH and a 5th album this year and end it all for good.

That is his problem, i'm sure the millions he made from it will soften the blow.
