Discussion: Braided hairstyles - your opinion?

Braids and braided hairstyles seem to be the it thing this year. I keep seeing it more often in daily life as well as on the internet.

Today at work I rang up a white feminine twink (nothing wrong with that) with the longest blonde braids. I was just so confused.

What is your stance on braids on people and especially on non-blacks?

Race don't matter to me, but braided hairstyles are not for everyone. 9 times out of 10 it's ugly

I don't like it on men unless they are like below shoulder length. Women pull it of flawlessly though.

My mom used to do this to me when i was like 5-7

but it definitely didn't look that good and well it was different.
I'm white but at that age I didn't know it was a "black thing" (I don't know how to put it sorry). I don't do it anymore because I don't think it would look good and they won't be well made...

But I think it's beautiful.
