This is what I think is the case (altho it depends on the couple). My BFF is planning on marrying his boyfriend and that's how it started, both of them just talking. Also, when he was planning on marrying his ex, that's how it also happened; both of them talking about it. (Plans cancelled obviously, because his ex who is another friend of mine cheated on him
). My BFF is all good now
(literally upgraded in every area) and my other friend is with the guy he cheated with (downgrade tbh).
That glee episode also had me thinking that if it's an official proposal, then it's the top who pops the question.
