the point is that white people are everywhere. literally everywhere. we have the most power, we're seen the most, we're the norm. we need to take a step back and let their voices be heard

This makes no sense.
If white people are everywhere, and have the most power, then why shouldn't we discuss and promote equality between races?
White people are seen as the enemy of racism, just as men are seen as the enemy of feminism. The idea of only letting the "good" people - blacks and women - doing most the talking is so backwards. Everyone should be involved in the conversation. If men step up and fight for equality between genders with women, and white people step up and fight for equality between races with black people, it would make a lot more sense and be a lot more helpful.
