At one point in time Faye was a major movie star but of course she's out of the limelight now because she's old and our culture is focused on youth. The thing with Hilary is, she's yet to really establish herself anywhere because she dabble so much searching for that thing that will work for her. TV hasn't worked out since Lizzie McGuire, the music career... well, you gotta give her props for trying, and she's certainly no top-notch movie star... so the real question should be "Who's Hilary Duff?" and where will her lasting impact be made. You and I might not give two ***** about that Oscar Faye Dunaway won like 30 years ago, but the simple truth is that at one point in time Faye Dunaway had a career that was stronger, focused and more honorable than anything Hilary has experienced thus far (or is likely to experience in the future). As with any celeb, I wouldn't expect Duff to have any more media attention when she's almost 70 than Dunaway has now at that age.
But anyway, all of this is pointless because I don't really think there's a beef between the two of them, or if there was it was definitely blown out of proportion by the media.

Lmao. ALOT of celebrities do guest spots on "Ghost Whisperer". And second, Hilary didn't even ask for the part, Jennifer Love Hewitt asked Hil to be on the show, she was originally only going to do 'Law & Order', but did "GW" as a little side thing.
And sure...Faye Dunaway was once popular, but she was "done-away" with her fame when she didn't land one good role after "Mommy Dearest"...And that was 1981-1982.
Faye Dunaway's career was never as strong as you seem to be making it, she had a career but not particularly as strong as other actresses in her time.
Now let's go through your list: Hilary hasn't done anything on TV since Lizzie McGuire, and that was a #1 TV show, so saying TV hasn't worked for her is purely a lie, she already has a new show coming soon and the ratings of her guest spots were very high. Her music career is astounding of course, what do you mean "give her props for trying"? She's sold over 14,000,000 albums and got critical acclaim and multiple hits, sold out arena tours and the like. Top Notch movie star? Well she certainly is in high demand right now, as she keeps landing role after role after role, and has had over half a billion dollars in box office receipts.
Note that this has all happened between the ages of 14 and 21. A span of only 8 years. So honesty, who's career is not strong here? And Dunaway doesn't have any media attention as of now, she is 'known' and 'respected', but she only got recent media attention because people thought Hilary didn't like her.
Clearly, neither of they're careers are anything to disregard.
