Just to clear things up, these meltdowns you guys are having about a possible certain somebody dying, are they based off of factual leaked information, or are they just speculations/predictions at this point? Because I don't see it going that way, it'd be their loss to loose this certain character.
I truthfully will strongly consider not watching anymore if this does happen, this character is a savior, and changes the elements up, whereas everyone else has become so repetitive, I don't know what to expect from this character. And I actually haven't seen the story line arch that this character is undergoing now, so much of this characters back story could tie in, to make a triumphant close to that story line. (just re-reading this, this is exactly how I felt about Beth

) except I feel this certain character brings so much more. And I thought they understood that!
I am serious, they kill
Carol
and I will strongly consider not watching, because I have praised this show to the heavens and beyond, but this last episode was just not as emotionally gripping as this whole last season. It fell off the rails a bit, whoever wrote/directed this episode, it really wasn't up to par with the rest of this season.
I feel like their is a lot of no talking going on, and in the past, the no talking thing, and being able to communicate with just a look, has worked so well, because we can just understand what these characters are thinking and feeling, but in this episode it felt quite misguided, and I needed people to speak more, and I guess in a way, it makes it more realistic, because a lot of people don't express every in dept emotion they're feeling, but when half the episode is filled with silence, I'm gonna need someone to talk, I mean their was hardly any dialog, the writing felt very minimal and almost a stretch, I mean what was the actual point of this episode, other than Rick and Pete's fight, which could've been done so much better, it could've been so intense, and IT WAS, don't get me wrong, but in the past, I have felt on the edge of my seat, here it fell flat. I just feel like they're skipping over things quickly, and then that makes me wonder, well they must have something big about to happen, but then the episode ends with Michonne hitting rick, and that's it. I wanted to see Dianne grieve the loss of her child, to understand what was going on in her head, I see they're trying to make her looks like a wreck, yet still keep it together, but I don't know I just felt like their should've been more, and maybe that will be discovered next episode.
And Jessie, I liked her every other episode, and found the relationship between her and Rick done so well, but here it just lost sight for me, and I didn't feel the pull I wanted from her coming to terms with being physically abused, and then her just saying yes, I wanted that to be so emotional, like I was picturing as soon as Rick walked into that house, it was just going to go off the handles, having her crying, breaking down, the camera could have gotten shaky, and he followed her around the house, while she tried to figure out what she was going to do..
The rest of this season has been amazing, probably my favorite yet, but this episode felt weak in comparison, and not because their wasn't any death, just because the moments that were meant to feel large, weren't executed with the passion, or intensity that I believe it should have been.
I'm sure they'll pick themselves back up, it is a season finale after all, and they are great at those. But if this episode is where the next season is heading, I can see it loosing a lot of it's public appeal. The last 3, episodes where things have been quiet in Alexandrea, and the cocktail party, where people were trying to find themselves in a safe place, was executed so well in those episodes, this one, just didn't go over and above like the rest. And if so and so dies, it'll give me more reason to stop watching.
I will say their were moments I did like, I liked the scene of Carl and that other girl running through the woods, the main moment where it sort of was shot in slow motion, and it just felt like two teens being wild and free, but I wanted more of that. (and I usually dislike Carl) I still don't like him, because some of those scenes were awkward.
