Did you even read what I wrote in parenthesis, apparently not.
Sorry I jumped to conclusions a bit, but your post confused me a bit when you first say the m guy makes the marriage happen and then also say it doesn't happen until they are both ready.
No tbh. The man should propose to show he isnt afraid of anythng includng her, plus...how awkward would it for the woman to see the man cry and scream joy?
That's fine and people should stop thinking it's so weird. If you personally aren't into that okay whatever but don't hate on people that don't share that viewpoint. I'm a more dominant female and I wouldn't mind proposing to a man at all, I think I'd like that a lot. The problem is a lot of men feel emasculated by their women taking on a role that is typically thought to be the mans, and people just can't over those rigid gender roles, that men are supposed to be the controlling/dominant ones in the relationship and women should wait around for the men to do everything, I don't like that. And if a man doesn't agree with me well then I won't be staying with him very long.

So in other words embrace gender roles? I'm not one to say we should do away with all gender roles (although that will probably occur in the future at some point) but I'm not here for supporting gender roles especially if they are outdated as hell
