End climate change. Helping the environment is something I'm very passionate about and studying in school

Measly million wouldn't be enough to get a fortified house on a piece of land free from flooding and other extreme weathers, having lifelong food and other supplies and the means to defend it from hordes of hungry people fleeing from affected places.

It sounds medieval when the ruling knights lived in castles and go outside to loot food and supplies for themselves. A dark place with neverending violence and diseases running out of control.

!! I'd most likely receive more than a million dollars.

No mater how efficient we become in the USA or even the West in general with carbon emissions we can't stop emerging countries like India and China from following in our footsteps by building coal fire plants, look at the rate at which they are building them.

During our many years of mistakes we learned so much about what not to do to the environment from the dust bowl, leaded gas, acid rain to dumping in our lakes yet China is going though desertification on a massive scale, their air is terrible and who knows what they are dumping in the water.

If you abuse the planet it will abuse you back and China is paying the price it might sound morbid but maybe a country with over a billion people should be a country of maybe 1/2 billion people. Before people come running saying it's the our fault it's not, China has been fighting desertification for decades. They over graze their grasslands, abuse the water supplies, don't crop rotate and don't plant enough trees to form natural barriers from the wind. Dust from their storms land on cars in California. They know exactly what needs to be done but they can't do it, to many mouths to feed.

I won't even mention India they have their own parade of horribles going on over there.

So when people come crying about climate change I just laugh because:

1. It's going to happen anyway regardless it's a cyclically driven process.
2. We can't stop it and I'm not sure we should even try.

Since the start of the 20th century, humans have propelled the rise of the average global temperature by 1 degree. Just for some comparison, during the ice age, the average global temperature was 9 degrees lower than it is today.

"Since the Industrial Revolution began in about 1750, carbon dioxide levels have increased nearly 38 percent as of 2009 and methane levels have increased 148 percent".

There is a direct positive correlation between humans and climate change.

Correlation has absolutely nothing to do with causation, so your "research", of course, falls apart immediately.

I'll take the 1 million. Humans have become so boring its time for the next phase of evolution to take place.

Climate change. I'd rather let the future generations have a healthy environment. I'm used to not having millions anyway. haha

1 million easily. Even if you end climate change today, it will still recur in the future. Climate change is an inevitable result of industrialization.
