I know our faves have sold NUMEROUS amounts of records. But if we include Illegal Downloads as well. Have our faves already outsold artists like Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and POSSIBLY Madonna?

I am just very curious. Because "4" has accumulated more than 10 million illegal downloads from just ONE site. And since Rihanna is the highest selling digital artist, she may as well have many illegally downloaded sales towards her albums as well Britney and Gaga , Katy INCLUDED.

Well illegal downloads are free so I don't think it's a fair comparison

Outsold, so illegal dl are not counted since nothing was sold anyway. Not a fair comparison

Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Madonna etc sales would just be less, not the current artists sales more.

You can theoretically include illegal downloads to the past, but you can't remove them from the present.

I dont think illegally downloaing songs should be counted
