Christina Aguilera performed a tribute to New York City at the NBA All-Star Game this past weekend in honor of the contest's return to the Big Apple. Midway through Billy Joel's "New York State of Mind," Aguilera introduced a special guest: Nas. His appearance undoubtedly made fans more anxious for new music. The rapper released his last effort, Life Is Good, in 2012, but he has been teasing his upcoming 12th studio album Season of Nasir for a while. In October, Nas was featured on a Schoolboy Q track where he rapped about his album being finished. The rapper is working with DJ Premier on the LP. Nas was reportedly joined by Aguilera and Premier in a New York recording studio late Sunday evening.
I saw this! And I am soooo here for it . Nas did collabs with JLo, Nicki, and Madonna; so why not a collab with a power house vocalist? It will be perfect, especially if it's a Premo production. Nas' flow and Xtina's vocals on a Premo track will be a hit.
Receipts of Legend X + other rappers sounding amazing together .
Nas has worked with Christina and Premo before on an unreleased Still Dirrty remix, and with the recent NBA performance, it wouldn't surprise me if they're working together!
