Well, yeah. Either way, I'm out while I still have my weave.

Only 10 markets:
US - 121,000
CAN - 18,000
FRA - 16,999
GER - 30,000
ITA - 20,000
BRA - 20,000
UK - 37,245
SPA - 8,000
JAP - 7,548
AUS - 6,960
285,244
For sure she sold 30k (and maybe more) in the rest of the world.
I'd say she sold more than 315k.

UK :
True Blue : #1 in 1986
Artpop : Not in the top 40 in 2013 or 2014
Japan :
True Blue : #13 in 1986, #40 in 1987
Artpop : #45 in 2013, #33 in 2014
Canada
True Blue : #2 in 1986, #6 in 1987
Artpop : Not in the top 50 in 2013, #23 in 2014
Australia :
True Blue : #10 in 1986, #21 in 1987
Artpop : #72 in 2013, nowhere in 2014
etc...
I'll stop there, I wouldn't want to embarass the Little Monsters even further...

The mod who warned me for this is really pushing it.

Mediatraffic is a mess for this...

Remarkable is the decline of the lead-single success from her last three studio sets: '4 MInutes' (feat. Justin Timberlake) from 'Hard Candy' was a big no.1 smash globally in May / June 2008, 'Give Me All Your Luvin' (feat. Nicki Minaj & M.I.A.) from 'MDNA' reached no.7 in the week 8, 2012, but 'Living For Love' from the current album missed the Top 40 so far. 'Rebel Heart' leads eight debuts on this week's tally.

They should be more professional!

You're not embarrassing anyone but yourself by comparing albums from entirely different decades.

Monsters are the ones who do that.
Sane individuals from all fan bases just provide facts because they can't stand their nonsense.

That's what year-end rankings are for. They don't change with the market unlike total sales.

Born This Way should be compared to True Blue (both third eras/albums), not AP
Focusing on AP only and pretending The Fame, The Fame Monster, and Born This Way (three of the biggest eras of our time) never happened is getting old

Born This Way :
US : #3 in 2011, #85 in 2012
UK : #7 in 2011
Japan : #4 in 2011
Canada : #3 in 2011
Australia : #6 in 2011, #16 on the dance albums chart (so probably not very high on the overall chart).
Very good positions in 2011 but absolutely no longevity (unlike True Blue).
