No she is backtracking.

"It's awful he got dragged into this." … he didn't get dragged into it, unless her comments were planned, in which case he did. So which is it? Does she stand by her comments (meaning she doesn't feel any remorse for him) or does she think they told her what to say and feels sorry for him being subjected to it?

Even if they purposely put a look alike in it, he wasn't dragged into drama, he was just used for an effect. It'd be like if they put a Britney lookalike on when Britney was there. Was she going to go on a tirade on artistic integrity or would she just go "You're cute! I love your jacket. But it's a no for me."?

And beside that, nobody would be stupid enough to make such a fool out of herself, if they knew they could have prevented it.
She just wants to save her face, while on the other side she still says she stands beside her comments. Like either be a big girl and take responsibility or just play the bad b*tch you pretend to be and take whatever negative comes to you.

That's not backtracking because she essentially said the same exact thing before. In the Twitter "apology" she said stuck by what she said, pointed out that there's more reality TV than can be seen and was semi-sympathetic to Joe. She's doing the same exact thing here and just milking it.

The lies

I haven't seen her twitter apology. I just know she said she stands by what she said. If that were truly the case, no rationalizing would be necessary. So even in her twitter apology if she said she stands by her words and added that there is more behind the scenes that we don't know, then okay… but you're not really standing by your words if you have to add that little mysterious ending to make people think maybe you're more innocent than you are.

Irrelevant. We're talking about whether she backtracked, and she did not. She keeps saying the sane damn thing over and over again. She does not actually apologize.

And she is standing by what she said. She's just rationalizing it by implying she was told by the producers to be mean and controversial. Either way, it's her own words!
