Fans commonly ask each other to rank their favorite artists albums, but what about how the artist themselves ranks their own discography? In other words, what do you think is your fave's honest ranking of their albums, from best on top to worst on bottom?

Base your ranking on:
*your general deductions & assumptions about your fave
*your fave's commentary/behavior in regards to their music (what songs/albums have they openly criticized/dissed/mocked?)
*your fave's song selection on tour (what songs/albums do they rarely perform or have openly stated they won't perform?),
*etc.

Try to look past label rhetoric & marketing in your decision.

She's delusional so it's okay.

Gaga is someone I would want an honest ranking from years down the line when she's not so affected by each new record.

I feel like she would honestly rank them Born This Way > The Fame Monster > ARTPOP > The Fame or something like that. I just know TF would be dead last. Not sure where C2C would be since it's literally nothing like her own albums.

Also, do we have any idea what she thinks of TFM nowadays?

I think an argument could be made about Damita's placement since she pretty much ignores that album too (sometimes she performs All Nite but that's it). I ignored her first two albums because see does lol. But they would be at the bottom.

In The Zone = Blackout > Circus > Britney > FF > OIDIA > BOMT

I think it would go like: ARTPOP > The Fame Monster > Born This Way > The Fame

But Born This Way is her best album

ARTPOP > BTW > TFM > TF

I feel like she is aware of TFM's position in her discography as perceived by fans and the GP, and I think she greatly respects it. Her ego was damaged during ARTPOP, but she initially described it (or its original iteration before we heard it) as TFM's techno-raver little sister - I think TFM is for sure above ARTPOP. Born This Way is iffy because out of her four pop records, it feels like the most honest portrayal and I feel like it's close to her heart, but I don't know how she feels after the TEOG video and MTN and the era cutting short and the hip and all that. She seems to love TF as far as writing and subject, but not as far as execution, especially with regard to her more restrained vocals and the vocal processing.

It would be really hard to get an honest ranking from her just yet. BTW and TFM would fight for the top - the former is more raw and honest but the latter is better executed and more characteristic of Lady Gaga as a "character." ARTPOP and TF would fight over #3 - the former was something she defended fiercely and believed in deeply, but her ego took a massive blow and TF was very honestly more cohesive and better executed.

I'd guess she'd place ARTPOP above TF, but I really can't decide what she'd actually call her best if given the opportunity to properly reflect.

In the Zone is her most personal album and her most hands on so I'd imagine she's pretty proud of it. She didn't get to tour Blackout but when she did the Circus tour, she had way more Blackout songs than Circus ones, even her Vegas show has a lot of tracks from Blackout (three singles, a non single and a non single as an interlude). Circus is my personal least favorite Britney album but I can't think of any reason why she'd dislike it at all. Just a cute pop album. Britney was a struggle between her artistic direction and her labels, I think she likes half and hates the other half. She stills performs Boys to this day ffs. She refused to play anything from Oops for years until she did a Greatest Hits show and I don't think she likes her older stuff like ...Baby One More Time anymore. She was more excited about those albums than she was with Femme Fatale but she'd probably rank Femme Fatale higher since the material isn't as old and cheesy. & she hates Britney Jean.

It'd be more like BEYONCE > 4 > DIL > B'Day > IASF
I remember during the 4 era when she did an interview and she said she wanted 4 to be a classic like her first album was and the other 2 weren't lol
