Hilary Duff's Artpop/Teal Hair could mean anything

(...) We might be looking a little too much into a simple hairstyle, but in the crazy world of Hollywood , this could mean something big is on it’s way. Let’s speculate, shall we?
1. She’s moving away from the bubbly blonde Girl Next Door image.
From gracing our screens as Wendy The Good Little Witch in “Casper Meets Wendy” to playing our pre-teen idol Lizzie McGuire, Hilary has always had a squeaky clean image, and the blonde hair to match. Even when she opted for darker locks or explored a sexier side (“Reach out and touch me/Before I go insane”), she always went back to her roots (symbolically of course, since her roots are clearly brown). This bold color is a huge move for Hilary, and might mean the former Disney star is ready to dominate like the badass she is.
2. A new look signifies a new era and a new sound.
Hilary has been hard at work on her fifth studio album, but not many details are known. While the lead singles “Chasing The Sun” and “All About You” released this past summer featured a carefree sound and catchy lyrics, they failed to make much of an impact on the charts. No other singles have been released since and talk of the album has been non-existent. Her folk-pop sound on the two early singles may have been fun, but they weren’t exactly “hit pop song” material. Could these edgy, electric locks mean Hilary is overhauling her sound and opting for an edgier, electro-pop sound? For many pop stars, a new look means a new era is about to begin — when Hilary darkened her signature locks in 2007, she blessed us with the masterpiece of an album Dignity. We might be in for a treat!
3. She could be taking on an edgy new role.
Don’t forget, Hilary is an actress, too! She may be working on the forthcoming TV show “Younger” with Broadway star Sutton Foster (set to premiere on TV Land at the end of the month), but could she have a new movie in the works that could explain this surprise makeover? She’s long overdue for a blockbuster, and if a movie calls for her to dye her hair blue, it must be a good one, let’s be honest.
4. Or maybe she just wanted a change.
Okay, okay, maybe the 27-year-old mother just craved some rebellion, and what better way than by breaking out the Manic Panic?

That's great for you, but there were 120+ news articles on her bikini selfie, she had two trending articles on MTV at the same time, and trended on Facebook as well.

I agree about Hilary being in the news a lot this last week or two. When she posted that bikini pic I randomly had a few people ask me if I had seen how good she looked. Then with Cosmo, I've seen parts of that interview on a few different news sites. Now everyones talking about her new hair.
I've always loved Hilary, and this new look is catching some attention. I love it.
