College humour raised a good point that as soon as people turn 16, they become too smart to watch youtube vloggers. Which seemed really accurate. Because it was around that age that I unsubbed to Shane Dawson, iJustine, Kingsley, Shannah Malcom, Glozell etc. and never looked back, not even in nostalgia. Do they only cater to demographics 10 to 15? What do you think?
I'm 20 and I still watch plenty of YouTubers. I don't watch constant vloggers like the Shaytards or CTFXC and whatnot, but I still watch those that either do one specific thing or a mixture (vlogging, challenges, skits, whatever.) But there's nobody I watch that only vlogs. Seeing someone's life that's better than yours is cute but it's not something I'm interested in seeing all the time.
Yeh, I think only preteen and early teen kids actively watch YouTube vlogs. They sprint to watch them the minute they're uploaded, week after week. You get older, and you kinda just watch a few here and there if at all.
But this only applies to some vlogs though, mostly ones like RayWilliamJohnson or Shane Dawson.
Yeah. I think it's nice to escape your life and see how someone else's is. Especially when they have money and they're actually doing things while you're broke and sitting in your house.
I still watch some vloggers but not people like Shane Dawson, I can agree that most of his fanbase seems to be made up of younger children/teens (or people with low attention spans in general ) I watch people like FunForLouis, which is one guy traveling all over the world and actually doing interesting things and not just filming himself sitting around at home or going to starbucks or whatever.
I mean of course if you're 20 you're going to find Vlogs aimed for younger audiences boring.
There are Vloggers out there who speak on a more adult level, and aren't there to entertain impressionable 13 year olds.
I mean, do you stop watching TV because the Disney channel no longer caters to your needs? No.
You just watch another channel.
19 here, and I keep up with a few (three or so) vloggers. No shame, and I don't think there's any significant reason to believe that all Youtube vloggers appeal to only young teenagers. It definitely depends on the content. I don't watch any of the ones you listed, but I'm assuming you're talking about vlogging in a general sense.

I don't think there's a particular age you need to be to watch vloggers. I'm 20 and like a lot of vloggers. At the same time there's a lot of vloggers such as Shane Dawson that I grew out of.
I agree. When I was 13/14 I enjoyed silly YouTube vlogs but now they piss me the **** off. I just find that all YouTube vloggers are obnoxious and desperate for cash/fame; most of the time they're not funny and are just unbearable.
Let me watch that CH video and get my life though. This will be good.
But if it's a hot guy then it's a different story.
