And remember rih always finishes her albums like 2 weeks before the release. She hasnt even released the lead single yet, we dont even know if ffs will be on R8. Its way too early to be worried about the album not being finished yet
Omar, her A&R person at Roc Nation, is literally still requesting songs. So the album clearly isn't finished
Well, she liked AO enough to offer it as a March Madness song. That's clearly not one of the songs she felt iffy about
We have no idea what Rihanna would and would not do. Anything is possible. Stop acting like plans can't be changed, rearranged, or cancelled. I'm not saying she scrapped the entire album, but something has clearly changed as things are continuously not going according to plan. Hopefully I'm wrong, though.
Still tho, she shot a music video for the song. So AO is gonna be a single. Even March Madness / NCAA said it's her new single, and I think they know something about it since they're using her upcoming song & music video for their promos.
But regarding R8 and what's planned etc., we can only speculate cause besides Rihanna & her team, nobody knows what's true and what's not.
Maybe Rihanna wants like 2 or 3 more songs on the album. 1 month is more than enough to select 2 more songs and record them. So the album can still come out in 2 months or even less than that.
Also we should not forget that 4 months before the release of TTT, the album was supposed to be a re-release of LOUD, then decided to scrap it like 3 months before TTT came out.
let's keep in mind that these songs were intended to fit this movie, a family movie. we can't have a Pour It Up or Birthday Cake promoting this movie. hence why DITD sounds a little cheesy. it fits the feel of the movie perfect though.
